Fitzroy Island wedding photographer – Nudey Beach wedding – Jade & Mark

Jade & Mark had the most stunning weather for their wedding at Nudey Beach (Nudey in name, only!) on Fitzroy Island last weekend.
Their guests arrived to join them from all over Australia – and took the ferry across to Fitzroy Island resort – beach paradise.

It’s a 15 minute walk up over a fairly steep track to get from the main resort area at Fitzroy over to Nudey beach. The guests were ferried over on the glass bottom boat (getting a complimentary tour of the seabed on the way) – while Jade and her parents walked across through the forest, a bit of peace and stillness before the ceremony kicked off.

After the ceremony, we stayed around the beach for a creative shoot, watching as the sun eventually made its way below the horizon. While the last twilight lingered in the sky we grabbed a few cool shots on the Fitzroy Island pier – and then it was back inside the resort for their reception.

The coolest thing about Fitzroy Island wedding photography is that once the last boat leaves back to Cairns at 5pm, you’re there for the night. Which meant a lovely relaxed Sunday for us – swimming in the pool, enjoying the beach, and soaking up the tropical sunshine. Bliss.
