Rocky Creek Igloo wedding photos | Yungaburra wedding photos | Tablelands wedding photographers

 

The Igloo at Rocky Creek is a pretty unique, one of a kind wedding venue. Nestled amongst the bush near Yungaburra, I had actually driven past a hundred times and never even noticed it!

It starts out as a total blank canvas hire, which is cool because you can style the wedding of your dreams, however you like.

Rylee and Jaydon opted to do the ceremony indoors – giving them a built in option to cover their bases for both a rainy day, or blazing hot sun. Luckily, the weather on the day was gorgeous.

After the ceremony, we went for a little explore for some wedding photos – the entire area is full of epic locations. We found a beautiful sweeping field with long swishy grass … and one of my all time favourite photos… a little section of bush on the roadside that had recently been back-burned to prevent forest fires. The entire forest floor was pitch black and looked so striking.

I knew it was a bit of a risk going in there with a white wedding dress … but Rylee was up for the challenge, and it looked spectacular!

Back at the Igloo, we arrived just on sunset to kick off the party for the evening … heartfelt speeches, and some epic dancing (including all the grandparents up on the dancefloor. Right at the end of the night, we sneaked outside into the cool, refreshing Tablelands night air … for a wedding photo under the stars to wrap things up.
