Megan & Ben came up from Melbourne to Palm Cove for their beautiful wedding at the Alamanda Chapel, and reception at NuNu.

Their little boy was so cute, all dressed up in his wedding outfit – totally stole the show!

I love the shot of Megan’s grandma congratulating them after the ceremony – such a perfectly happy expression 🙂 One of the most important parts of being a wedding photographer (at least in my opinion) is knowing where to position yourself in anticipation of these little moments… so that when they happen, you’re in the perfect spot and ready to capture the fleeting moments.

While we were down on the beach for their couple session, I overheard Megan telling Ben that the veil was super annoying – it kept pulling at her hair as people hugged her, getting stepped on – she was looking forward to getting to the reception and being able to take it off!

I promised that we’d make sure to get some cool veil photos, so that it was at least worthwhile having!

Back at the reception, the dancefloor kicked off with DJ Bart’s magic – and everyone had the best party. Some absolute bangers came up throughout the night (cover your ears, grandma!) – after a rough year in 2020, Victoria was ready to parrrrrttty!!
