Pullman Port Douglas wedding photos | Port Douglas wedding photographer | Rainforest reception setting
Emma & Jake were married at the stunning Pullman Sea Temple in Port Douglas – and in the many weddings I’ve shot there over the years, this was the first time that I had seen the rainforest boardwalk set up as the reception space. Wow – what an epic option! Gorgeous soft lighting, one big long table, made for the most intimate and beautiful wedding setting.
Their ceremony was on the beach (which I highly recommend as the ceremony option for Pullman Port Douglas weddings – the boardwalk gets all kinds of rough lighting during the afternoon) – and I loved the simple rug framed with some epic florals either side.
After their ceremony finished, and photos with their guests & bridal party – I whisked Emma & Jake away for a few photos by themselves. It’s always a really nice idea to factor in a little time just to spend alone as a couple, during your bridal party photo session. We got lucky with some gorgeous late afternoon golden light down on the rocks, and a nice hazy sky over the iconic Rex Smeal park coconut trees.
Then it was back to the Pullman Sea Temple to join the guests on the rainforest boardwalk, for an incredible dinner in the tropical nature. Later on, we all moved back inside to the afterparty room, and the night just ramped up from there!
Here are a couple of my fav images from throughout the day – enjoy 🥰
